simplify, Simplify, SIMPLIFY ..1 ..2 ..3

Trevor writes:

From this post - MAD 7. It Only Takes 'HALF-A-DOZEN' Things! (extract below) - I am reminded that it is all to easy to fall into the trap of adding unnecessary complexity to ideas, projects, strategies, et al, that should be as simple as ...1 ..2 ..3

Too many people look to make the simple things in life too complex to understand.

Yes, most often it takes only a few things... 1, 2, or 3 things... just a 'half-a-dozen' things to ensure success in most projects.

I am resolving to simplify every idea, project, strategy I have into a 'simple as ..1 ..2 ..3' graphic presentation.

Explaining The Concept

This letter is to introduce a new concept to you, to assist the small businessman in how to start, acquire, manage, grow, sell or turnaround their own businesses, especially those parties who were not previously economically empowered, retrenchees and school leavers - and is aimed primarily at SMME’s.

The concept, in essence, centres around three separate but interdependent organisations, namely:

1. A Business Academy to provide a progressive series of practical courses on how to buy, manage, grow, sell or turnaround businesses.

2. A Business Exchange that brings buyers and sellers of businesses together, and facilitates transactions between them.

3. A Business service company which would include a repository of professional services to assist those who will buy, manage and sell businesses, especially in the area of financing, legal, systems, staffing, accounting, administration, strategy and in fact any service which is relevant to the acquiring, managing and disposing of a business.

Modules have been prepared which sets out extensively the practical aspects of buying and selling businesses, due diligence investigations and negotiations.

The concept has enormous potential if pursued correctly. It will enable businesses at grassroots level to develop and expand to the economic benefit of our country.
